if thoughts are contagious, so are stories and obsessions. I devoured the audiobook of this obsessive tale. you are a true crime podcast host who disappeared. the main character disappeared to find you, following the clues in your episodes to your family’s ranch near a tiny town. she starts to learn of other women who have disappeared from the ranch and tries to get close to the people who knew you.

I really liked the narrative style of this story and the eerie rural setting, where everyone knows (almost) everything about everyone, and where there are only so many suspects.
