I wasn't really planning on reading any of the atla comics, but I'm in a bit of a reading slump and I needed something to help get me out of it - and I thought this would be great because I'm currently rewatching atla for the millionth time and I managed to find a copy of this at target for $10, so I bought it as soon as I saw it. however, despite atla being my favourite tv show of all time, I... don't have that much to say about this??? the stories were fun and most of them felt like they'd fit perfectly into the show universe (with the characterisation feeling quite true to that in the original show, for the most part), but they don't really add much to the characters or the narrative as a whole (which I didn't really expect them to do, but that just means I don't have much else to say on them). The art in some of the stories just wasn't great and made it really difficult to fully immerse myself in said stories. am I going to read any more of the comics? maybe, but I'm not really in a rush to.
