Did not finish book. Stopped at 21%.
I stopped reading because there are some side comments / jokes that are seriously concerning. The first red flag was a guy Lou meets at the coffee shop volunteering to be her “new gay bestie.” Felt very stereotypical. The second red flag that made me quit reading was a joke about child marriage, that also insinuates adult/minor relationships. I liked Lou (especially bc she is explicitly plus size and fat positive) and her chemistry with Abel but not enough to keep reading after that shit. And published in 2019??? Get it together. What the hell??
