I really enjoyed this book!! it was so so imaginative, super visually compelling and just idk?? i loved the ending also! it was the first proper novel i read in english and the wiritng style seemed kind of simple? i didn't expect it to read like that, but i don't mean to say that it wasn't enjoyable, because it was. there were grim moments, in general this book is sorta dark, sometimes it seemed over the top or unjustified? for example i don't know really in the end why the Jabberwocky killed normal citizens, was he hungry? also there was a huge emphasis on "evil men" or "men in power" and they were just getting slaughtered right and left, which is good, but sometimes it felt like people just were evil because they were evil. i am able to overlook that thoigh, because the rest i enjoyed and Alice's change from the traumatised girl who didn't wish to ever be free to a powerful woman realizing her strength was so satisfying and actually in that regard, the book is pretty wholesome, if only there was less sexual violence
