Finding Fraser by K.C. Dyer

3.0

This book is about Emma, a 29-year-old who is obsessed with Outlander (the book) and goes on a quest to Scotland to find her own Jamie Fraser (the main male character in the Outlander Series).

This book started out good and I definitely liked the travel blog aspect of the story, but it was hard to for me to remember that Emma was 29. A lot of the times in the book she acted like a boy-crazy teenager especially since "he was everything I was looking for in my Jamie - tall, strong, and handsome." If she was really a fan of Outlander she would know that those are not the traits that make Jamie such a great character.

There were times that things felt too coincidental, for example, everyone she meets is an Outlander fan. Some names were thrown in there that I guess were supposed to make Outlander fans happy (like a gay guy with connections to the last name Grey, or a shady woman named Gail Lee Duncan) but to me, it kind of distracted from the story.
