Wow, this book is epic in scale. There is so much world-building, a massive character list, complex magic systems, and an overarching time-loop to top things off. Just wow!

It must have been a massive undertaking just to write such a huge tome, much less keep it internally consistent and of such high quality. Sure, the last quarter of the book needs more proof-reading, and my enthusiasm wavered a couple of times, but I've immediately placed this book on my re-read shelf.

Probably the only thing missing was a romance element... not that I cared. After all, Zorian had a world to save.

If you're a slow reader that struggles to hold onto the threads of a story, then I'd caution you to either skip this book or take notes. It's huge, complex, and has many overlapping layers. It would be easy to get mixed up if you're not fully immersed in the experience.
