Okay, let’s be real—I liked this one, but not as much as the previous book in Aiden and Elsa’s trilogy. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but this one felt a little too repetitive. The action? It was there, but not in the punch-me-in-the-face kind of way I was hoping for. I was craving more twists, more revelations, more everything—and it felt like the answers were taking their sweet time to show up. I’ve been patient, guys. So patient. But come on!
Now, the cliffhanger? Still evil. Still working. Still making me click on the next book without even thinking. And we’ve got a new character, Knox, stepping into the chaos—and let me tell you, this man does not care about anyone’s reputation or fear. He came in swinging. But did I trust him? Absolutely not. This is Rina Kent’s world—we don’t trust anyone here.
Aiden in this book? Oh, he’s on another level. He’s even more possessive, more controlling, and way more toxic. It’s peak dark romance nonsense and I ate it up even while I was yelling at the pages. You’re going to cheer for Elsa in the beginning—she puts up a fight, stands her ground… and then… well. She slips back into their toxic little dance and you’ll be back to side-eyeing her decisions. But you get it. That’s just who these two are.
So yeah, I’m finishing this trilogy because I need the answers. I need the chaos resolved. But if you’re reading this one, prepare to be annoyed, confused, obsessed, and completely hooked.
