For the Love of Friends
by Sara Goodman Confino
I actually really loved this book but somehow forgot I read it on vacation until I saw another book by the author pop up on my Kindle! The author is a teacher from Montgomery County which is so fun because the main character was a Maryland girl, living in DC, which made her so relatable. This barely follows the trope of "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" and I love that everything tied up nicely at the end. I actually guessed the major plot twist that would come at the end, towards the beginning of the book, but rather than feeling predictable it felt like an "I KNEW IT" moment of validation. I thought this book was relatable and real and I got so attached to all the characters as the story went on. I like that there was a happy ending but not a perfect one.
