Orlando by Virginia Woolf
3.0
This was my first entry into Woolf’s wondrous world and I quite enjoyed myself. Her descriptions of landscape were quite captivating and her insight into themes of love, time and gender were equally so. I particularly was drawn to the transformation scenes. I have heard that this is her lightest read and that out of all her books, Woolf wrote this for fun. And you can tell. It’s still brilliant and never does it not work but from what I’ve heard, her other books are a tad more focused go a bit deeper. So I am looking forward to my next plunge.
