It is unbelievable how many complex themes the author can get into these short books. This one deals with PTSD, self discovery, and learned prejudices to name a few. It is definitely a middle book and cannot stand on its own as well as the first one. Nevertheless, it pulls at the heartstrings, makes you think, and is just so beautifully done. Can't wait to see what happens next!
