Meh. Bants as a defence mechanism as a personality isn’t going to be something I love. It felt shallow and just… not that interesting? Like it was leaning heavily on the offbeat but loveable grandma trope, and the my-parents-never-understood-me premise. Also, your Dad just had a heart attack, maybe don’t give him your smutty softporn romance to read? It felt like a lot of blah, all the way through.
