Some parts of this were excellent - I could read more about monks at each others’ throats over theological matters - and some parts were a drag. The ending wasn’t what I expected, although I couldn’t tell you how I expected it to end before I got there. I’ll have to sit on this one for a while and mull it over.
Graphic: Death, Misogyny, Torture, Blood, Religious bigotry, Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Antisemitism, Islamophobia
