I'd never read a Nancy Drew by the first author, and I did not like her writing style. So repetitive, obvious and cringey. I hated having the most simple conclussions explained as some grandiose-deduction. 
I was going to force myself to finish it, because it's very short and it's the 1st Nancy Drew book, but I was hating every second.
