I never thought it would take me so long to finish reading a Gentleman Bastards book, and to have to basically skim the last few hundred pages just to make it through. This book started slow and never really picked up for me. I couldn't stand the Locke/Sabetha stuff, which was most of the book. This book was light on capers and very heavy on quite wordy dialogue (think people fumbling for words, lots of ellipses, having what boils down to the same conversation over and over again). What a disappointing read! Not sure if the 4th book will ever come out, and not sure if I'll be willing to read it if it does. Ah, well, I'll always have books 1 and 2, which are rollicking good times.
