Just disappointing. I was hooked in the beginning. Cool and cruel concept, that grabbed my attention immediately. But. It just kept getting worse the more I read. Starting with the absolute dog-shit way the women are depicted in this book. You only deserve respect as a woman if you're attractive. And the only woman who isn't part of the "sexy lamp" trope is described as ugly, man-ish and then promptly killed. Also the number of times Rita is described as fat is fucking disgusting.
The romance that occurs is also incredibly rushed and painfully unrealistic. Woman who Is terrified of a cold blooded killer sees he's tortured and muscled, and now would do anything for him.
It also just gets so incredibly boring in the last 100 pages.
This was a book I really wish had sucked closer to the start so I wouldn't have wasted my time.
