I normally don’t read books if I’ve seen the movie/tv show based on them. But given I watched this movie probably 15+ years ago I decided to give it a go. I’m so glad I did! The book is almost more devastating as you read about these characters hopes and dreams and see it all spiral into despair and tragedy.
This is probably one of the best depictions of addiction I’ve ever read. Definitely want to read Selby’s other works.
