I went into this book knowing nothing more than it was adapted into what is supposedly one of the most disturbing movies out there. I don't know how much stock I put in that because this book was beyond boring. I was ready to DNF a third of the way through (I couldn't stand how the men described women), but kept going to see what the big 'moment' would be. It took so long to get there and was so heavily foreshadowed that it didn't have nearly as much impact as it could've. Honestly, the only disturbing part was the poor doggo, which I could've done without
