It just ends. Does not tie up loose ends and every question that gets answered raises more questions.
Characters are consistently written and show their individual personality quarks. The writing is good especially at switching between storylines/perspectives. More detailed fighting scenes then necessary and not enough bits of mystery reveals fed throughout and could have been a deeper more complex story than it was. Overall mildly game of thrones esque with a simpler plot and more action scenes.
