Just when I think I can't get love a new couple and a new book any more, I am introduced to a new adventure that proves me wrong!
This is currently my favourite! Perry and Garrett are two of the funnest and perfect opposites-attract that I've read in ages. Their story and romance is one of my favourites from this year and I already wish to see more of their adventures.
As a tomboy, I immediately related to Perry. Her backstory is tragic and complex and I understood her motives. She is incredibly strong, bold, and daring. I couldn't get enough of her. Garrett is smart, flirty, and wickedly loyal. His own struggles and new feelings were amazing to witness and made for some truly touching moments between them. Not to mention for some serious drama between him and other characters!
The back and forth bantering and romance between Perry and Garrett helped push me to read more and more. It was sexy, fun, and always left me craving their next interaction. I loved how they worked to understand and discover each other. The action and villains were quite thrilling this time around, and I can't wait to see what McMaster plans next! Her writing style and world building continue to improve with each iteration. Not to be missed for fans of historical/steampunk/paranormal romance!
