And the Mountains Echoed
by Khaled Hosseini
A very moving story that honestly, involves many characters. I could have done without a few just because I found their in depth character development more of an extraneous detail. The story jumps around through time and spaces (USA, Afghanistan, France and Greece (and a few others) so it is definitely not a book you can put down for a few weeks and come back to. He introduced new characters near the last 100 pages, which I found a bit annoying but, in the end, it was worth it. In summary, I felt it was beautifully written and enjoyed how the many stories and characters were intricately woven together.
