Come & Get It by Kiley Reid

4.0

[a:Kiley Reid|18257829|Kiley Reid|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1584271436p2/18257829.jpg] reminds me of [a:Celeste Ng|164692|Celeste Ng|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1663691487p2/164692.jpg] in that she's creating a really nice niche for herself in fiction - her second book is very similar to her first in terms of themes, tone, types of relationships, issues explored, etc., but it's not repetitive at all. I wish more authors would do this, honestly - explore different facets of the same issues, places, and themes.

Come and Get It is expertly written, weaving in three POVs but providing insight into many more characters. Every character in this book is complex and fleshed out. Definitely a character-driven book with a little less plot, so if you don't like that it might not be for you. But I really enjoyed it and I look forward to what Reid will continue to write.
