Oh my god!???

I may need to come back to edit this review because I am struggling even putting my thoughts into coherent words.

Addicting. Action-packed. Dark. High-stakes.

It’s as if Katniss Everdeen herself stepped into a Gundam/Interstellar world where she was all the rage IN the machine. I felt like I was watching this like it was right in front of me or how I felt watching Gurren Lagann for the first time (very similar vibes).

If you are here for the romance, just be warned it will be true slow-burn and there is
somewhat of a love triangle
(my biggest gripe honestly).

But as for the story itself and the incredible story telling? I had a hard time putting this down and will be thinking about this universe for a while. You ever have a story that impacts you so much it feels like you were a witness to it and it sticks with you? Yeah. That’s what I got from this.

I cannot recommend this enough if you enjoy even rudimentary sci-fi, mecha, or futuristic dystopian societies in general.

“They say God made man in his image, but so, too, did man make the steeds in theirs.”

“God made the universe in seven days, and I will unmake it in seven people.”

“No one wants the darkness—they want the stars.”

“To hold means to be patient—to wait when all you want to do is run. Endure until it’s too late. Hold, even as the universe tries to tear you apart.”

“‘The horses are called knights. And you’d do well to give more respect to the pawn’…
She scoffed. ‘Give me one good reason, then.’
…’The pawn is the only piece that refuses to move backwards.’”

“What does it mean to ride?”
