In this book we find out what happens to Kaz and his crew after The Ice Court heist. I am seriously so impressed with Leigh Bardugos storytelling abilities. She never ceases to amaze me. If I could visit a fantasy world it would definitely be the Grishaverse. Absolutely. The characters continue to develop in this novel. Literally every chapter, even towards the end you think you know everything about a character that there is to know and then BOOM Bardugo adds something more. I love the suspense and surprises. I was able to predict one bit out of the story, but that’s okay because it made the story just as good. I just love everything about it, the action, characters, humor, trauma, happiness, sadness, friendship. This book (& the duology in general) made me laugh out loud. Because serious banter. And it also, this book in particular made me cry, not just sad tears, but happy tears. I haven’t been obsessed with a book like this since Harry Potter and it makes me happy. 😊 Let’s hope season 2 S&B does this duology justice. A Must-read for sure.
