Okayyyyyyyy.. liked it… I really did .. up and till after the murder the bit that followed was one massive epilogue for me. I am still rating as a 4 because up until that point I was loving it! They had so much humour between them and I was laughing so much at their witty responses!

Josh’s character was soooo interesting! I preferred golden retriever Josh to Dark and Dirty.. the way he was with Fred?! Ahhaha too good!! His back story was so clever with the dad? I kind of wish he remembered and cold help the families or hacked and found all the missing women you know?

Aly was something else!! So fiery at work I am so happy she didn’t turn bad in the hospital it was an expected outcome I am happy wasn’t followed! And her mum was a surprise!! Her mob tied came left field and it was a bit of a shame I liked the couple before all of that, for me he didn’t have to make the mistake that took them there everything after that was just a bit meh for me. 

I would have liked them to maybe call the police or something and then Josh to hack in to the computers etc and expose him to the authorities. 

I think a fun twist would have been the neighbour being a bit morally grey or even FBI undercover and they helped out and had a whole found family vibe instead of the mob route I would have realllllyyy liked that! Instead they faded out of the story which kinda sucked.

Overall it was a hilarious but twisted read that was worth it until the end for me. I will probably still read book 2 but I won’t be rushing to get there. 

The cover of this book was sooooo good the black contrast with the electric blue was so eye catching, I couldn’t figure out if that’s what his mask looked like? Aly described the mask but it didn’t have the X or the Heart so I presume not..?

A 4 star from me means I really liked this book. A great read overall and I would recommend to other readers but the overall feels were not as strong as other reads.
