Red Rabbit
by Tom Clancy
I looked at this the other day and wondered why I couldn't remember reading it.
NOW I remember - it's because I've never read more than about a quarter of it. Interminable preaching via the suddenly awoken conscience of a KGB flunky who has apparently never had a thought before in his life and is suddenly, in his mid-30s, discovering the joys of both thinking and having a conscience. To make matters worse, he's doing so as if he was GRR Martin, in page after interminable page of nothingness.
Dreck.
