thank you to netgalley and st martin’s press for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!
this was super fun! i was really intrigued by the premise of this and it definitely delivered! i loved the characters, found them interesting and really unique and honestly they were unlike any FMCs i’ve read in a sapphic romance so far! i had lots of fun and i was really invested in them as a couple!
however, i found that some sentences really ran on and we weren’t let into the FMCs heads whilst they were speaking with each other, especially towards the last 30% of the book- it was very much just dialogue between characters interspersed by very little internal dialogue, which i don’t love. i also really disliked their conflict (it felt forced to me i’m so sorry) and the time jump at the end made their resolution feel forced. would’ve enjoyed a little bit more meat to their resolution!
