In the Gray
by B.B. Reid
Rowdy was marketed like a gangster, but let’s be honest, he gave more of a psychotic fever dream than a mafia don. Like, sir… why are you like this?
But Atlas? Oh, baby. That girl smiled in the face of danger and didn’t flinch. I’m talking main character energy with steel in her spine and the best kind of ride or die aura. I’m genuinely obsessed with her. She carried the story for me.
Their first meeting, though? Whew. I almost DNF’d right then and there because what in the absolute hell did I just witness?? Major ICK alert. But I’m so glad I pushed through, because what unfolded after that was dark, twisty, and addictive in a way I didn’t expect.
Is it morally grey? Yes. Is it healthy? Absolutely not. Did I eat it up anyway? You already know.
