Most of the book is about humans being eviscerated while shooting monsters. I had hoped that a lot more of this series would be a more constructive consideration of how to cope with the new world everyone found themselves in, not mostly horror-movie-turned-book.
I definitely enjoyed his other books more, like Recursion and Dark Matter.
