This is definitely NOT my typical genera! This is my very first dark / serial killer romance and my goodness it did not disappoint!
I decided to pick this up because it is the July book club pick for the Cliterature book club hosted my Steph Loves on Instagram and Twitter the book was picked by members in a poll. My IRL friend Michaela also highly recommend this series and she thought I would love it and she hit the nail on the head! I've been telling my friends there's 2 options either I get sucked in or I have nightmares! Well I'm fully absorbed in this series now! I need to start the next one ASAP because that ending guys holy crap!
I honestly didn't know what to expect going into this one but the backstories of both of the main characters has my attention. I'm curious to find out exactly what happened to Lana to make her want to seek revenge so badly. In the first book we get a clips into what happened to her and it is horrible and disturbing. It almost makes what she is doing ok in a lot of ways. She is taking a big risk by dating Logan who is the FBI profiler on her case. The fact that she knows this and is dating him anyway just makes her ballsy and it makes me like her that much more.
The chemistry between them is so intense! And that ending was not what I was expecting the book to go AT ALL! I can't wait to start the next book!
