Resisting the Running Back was a whole lot of meh for me. The spice was definitely there, but the plot was so lacking. And the book was way too long to sustain the plot. The first third of the book is literally just Sophie and Miller going back and forth with the will-they-won’t-they. Miller has loved Sophie forever, Sophie is all, has he always been this hot?, rinse and repeat. The second third, they get it on. Like, allll the time. Then the author throws in a controversial third act trope, which I wish I knew about ahead of time, and then it’s all HEA. The book wasn’t BAD, it just wasn’t great either.

I received a copy of Resisting the Running Back from VPR, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
