Fire Weather: The Making of a Beast by John Vaillant

informative reflective medium-paced

4.5

Very interesting book, ideal to introduce someone to the dynamic challenges that climate change will give us. Was familiar with some stuff, but the expected learning curve, interspersed with first-hand accounts and the general timeline of disasters made reading it easy. The only unneccessary thing was going into much more (not as much as the main incident) detail on some other fires (The guy who survived the fire vortex in his pickup and then below a cat shovel was interesting, but did not add anything but pages to the book).
