i was not expecting this book to be so good. why was it good. so, this was my first read of a Freida McFadden book and i am blow away. i loved this. the way the book straight away draws you in and captures your attention is crazy. the story is beyond good. it took me ages before i could even make a guess on what the hell was going on. i normally guess something, may not be right, but I'll have guessed something, but no, not with this book. i was at least halfway through it before i made a guess. the way the story is set out is flawless. there are no faults, and the book just reads perfectly. i loved this mystery book and it was a good break from all the romance books and fantasy books i have been reading. reading never lie has made me realize how much i miss reading my mystery, thriller books. through i would have loved it if the thriller was more in the book as it was heavily on the mystery side rather than the thriller side but that's okay as nowhere in the does it say it's meant to be a thriller. the characters are well set out in the way that you don't have a clue in what their intentions are going to be. it was interesting in the way that you think you know a character and that they would never do anything wrong but then two chapters later they are trying to murder another character. i loved also reading the tapes that were recorded and hearing them because they were very interesting and entertaining and without them i don't think i would have been able to solve the mystery. i was able to read this book in two sittings over two days and i adored every second of this book. it had me captured and i loved reading the mystery.
