The Witch’s Pet is a captivating, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, dark romantasy debut with fascinating lore, incredible world building, top tier banter, layered characters, magic and witches.
This debut was everything I could have wanted in a romantasy. It has some of the best banter I have ever read, characters that feel real and authentic, storytelling that draws you in, and all the vibes I loved from ACOTAR & From Blood and Ash. It was so easy to connect with the characters and so many moments had me laughing or swooning or tearing up…it was a roller coaster of emotions. I was especially impressed by the dual POV. The two main characters’ voices felt and sounded uniquely different from the other, and that’s not something I normally come across which made this book especially enjoyable.
I absolutely loved Pandora and Sitri as a couple! Their opposites-attract chemistry, the slow-burning tension, the caretaking scenes, and all of the playful witty banter between them had me completely hooked. I am obsessed with these two! But especially Sitri. He became the charming morally gray book boyfriend I didn’t know I needed. All the build up throughout their romance arc was so well done, and I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next installment of this series. I still can’t believe this is only the debut book! It was SO SO GOOD!
Thank you to Kerri Andrews for the amazing opportunity to be on your ARC reader team! I loved your book so much!
