The Blind Owl by Sadegh Hedayat

4.0

I do think I need to reread but I was very gripped by the plot and I think this translation did a good job with making the prose stick to you, like thick mud, though I hope to one day read this in Farsi and have a better grasp on the story. I will say that I didn't expect the woman the narrator is talking about in the second part to be his cousin and foster sister, so that was one added layer to the disturbing factor.
