This book started out great. I was really enjoying it. But eventually the pacing got to me. It was too long for what it was. We spent too much time with the day to day things that didn't move the plot forward. This book could have been 200 pages shorter and delivered the same message.
I also grew weary of the FMC's inner dialog. She was able to overcome her caste-based hardships too easily. The themes while important were handled on a heavy handed way.
My initial excitement quickly wanted and by the end I just wanted it to be over. I skimmed the last few chapters.
