LOVE LOVE LOVE this book for the characters alone 🥺🥺
But characters aside, I love a good heist and Leigh Bardugo was so creative in her creation of this plot and how the characters would support that. I cannot and will not ever get over what a masterful work of art this book is. Seriously, if there’s any doubts— read it. You’re guaranteed to love it. I’m a sucker for the characters and their charm and nuanced personalities, but I think Leigh doesn’t get enough credit for the insane world she’s developed. I know, I know— it’s part of the Grishaverse. I read Shadow and Bone, and the detail and intricacies of Ketterdam and Fjerda cannot be compared to the ones in S&B’s Ravka, sorry. I love love loveeeeee the detail Leigh gave us readers in the world and I think that complemented the characters so well, aiding in forming their backgrounds and true identities. This book will always have a place in my heart.
