What I Was Doing While You Were Breeding
by Kristin Newman
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading the book, all I knew was that a bunch of travel buddies said it was a good, quick, and witty read. Looking at some other reviews, clearly people got their feelings hurt by the title or can’t understand Kristin’s humor. Or maybe I just enjoyed it because I saw a lot of myself in her, minus sleeping around on almost every vacation. I am/was that 30something year old who was single until almost 40 and decided to spend my time traveling the world even if I didn’t have someone to travel around with. Definitely connected with that aspect and it seems like we’re both ending our “last chapter” in similar ways too. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to an entertaining read, just know you aren’t going to get much Eat, Pray,Love out of it... but it’s enjoyable. The bits and pieces of travel info and experiences is also spot on and made me laugh out loud a few times.
