Started off very slow and generic, and I wasn’t even sure it was worth bothering with until about 20% in, when the time loop starts. There are some good pieces in there (

telepathic spiders, the whole soul magic part of the time loop

), and the book definitely ended with a bang that made me curious where it will go from there, but overall there wasn’t a ton of original plot or world building that really riveted me.
