Okay, so this is rounded down from 3.5 stars.
What I liked:
1) The email correspondence was very entertaining with several laugh out loud moments.
2) I was able to empathize with the characters and feel the emotion there.
3) While I’m not a participant, I think it’s good that a mainstream story was able to show that BDSM isn’t sadistic or about harming people (despite Ana’s reactions)
4) The spice level was good and there was a decent plot
What I didn’t like:
1) Some of the writing seemed pretentious
2) The constant mention of “long fingers” (or “long fingies” as i now call them)
3) The terms: “my sex” and “inner goddess”…like, really?
It was an alright read - the items I didn’t like really knocked it down for me. And the story didn’t blow me away or anything. I gave it the extra half star for the email exchanges - I loved those
