I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

emotional inspiring sad tense medium-paced

5.0

A very heartbreaking but inspiring read about Jennette McCurdy’s battle with eating disorders, alcoholism, and childhood trauma all stemmed from her mother’s pressure of becoming a child actor from a very young age, and the emotional, mental and physical abuse she endured along the way.
I really enjoyed listening to her story despite how sad it was, and was really pleased to see she’s finally able to focus on healing towards the end of the book. Definitely recommend!
