Paladin's Grace by T. Kingfisher

Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
This is just way too twee, awkward, and sarcastic. I don’t even know what is happening because Kingfisher is so committed to keeping us so far removed from the actual plot with “witty banter” and endless internal monologues about how much Stephen SMELLS LIKE GINGERBREAD and how unattractive and “not normal” Grace is. It’s repetitive, it’s agonizingly awkward, and it doesn’t even feel like Kingfisher takes this story seriously.
