A Hidden Fire
by Elizabeth Hunter
I've been on a light fiction kick lately, and was pleasantly surprised by this effort. The book adheres to a number of vampire novel conventions, eschews a few others, and has a solid combination of character and plot development. The strongest contributions are the complexity of the two major protagonists and the maintenance of some suspense throughout. Occasionally the plot is predictable, and occasionally not. If vampire romance is your thing, it should be on your list.
