RF Jackaby is a supernatural detective who is somewhat lacking in social skills. Abigail Rook is his assistant and the narrator of the series, which takes place in New Fiddleham, a small city in an alternative New England. Ghostly Echoes is the third book in the Jackaby series and did not disappoint. The plot revolves around the story of Jenny Cavanaugh, a close friend of Jackaby and Abigail, who also happens to be dead. Her memories of how she ended up that way are a bit vague at best but she wants to know the truth. Jackaby reluctantly agrees to help her.
I am not going to say any more than that for fear I will spoil something and I REALLY want people to experience the book for themselves. Anyone who read the first two books will enjoy this one as well. If you haven't read the first two, get started right now!
