I really enjoyed it for what is was. It was a fun dark academia fantasy. It does start very slowly and then it’s like being hit in the face with a tree branch and it’s like “bam” ‘this happened’ type of thing.
But if you want morally grey, villain gets the girl and can overlook some glaring plot/character questions, then this is a thoroughly entertaining read.
And I will read the next one.
