Loved this. The story, the characters, their development and the representation are amazing. Loved learning about el Dia de Muertos and how they integrate bits of cultures from all Latin America. I'm from Puerto Rico and I've never celebrated Dia de Muertos, always felt like it was more of a Mexican celebration but seeing how they all celebrate it made my heart warm.
Love the representation, not only of Latinx people but of queer people. The author and the narrator are both trans latinx and queer and I just love seeing it.
Idk if this book is one of my favorites this year but I sure loved it.
