I picked up Ear Hustle because it was a topic I knew nothing about- everyday prison life. Told through a series of podcasts hosted by Poor and Earlonne Woods, who was serving time in San Quentin. The stories did not shy away from what it is like to be incarcerated while touching on systems that are filling Americans prisons. I did find some of the transitions to be a bit choppy and sometimes found myself needing to go back and check the timeline. I found Ear Hustle engaging and the format made it easy to access.
