this book was bloody BRILLIANT! I’d give it 10 stars if I could - it may very well end up being my book of the year!
The writing is clever, witty and incredibly sharp with sarcastic dry humour, I could not put this down. I’m in love with every single character (especially Kingsley). Evie is the funniest little badass, I utterly adore her. Don’t get me started on The Villain, he is certainly in the running for one of my favourite MMC’s. And him calling her his ‘little tornado’??? I’m done.
Honestly, this was such a pleasure to read. I laughed out loud so often, it brought tears to my eyes and I felt that literal tug in my heart that I so rarely feel - it’s my measure of a truly fantastic book and Assistant to the Villain meets that bar and then some. I cannot WAIT for the next book!
