Insert throwback here of me saying, begging, in my review of issue #29: I really hope this arc doesn't end in a "fix it" cliché for someone's sanist wet dreams. That's such a terrible message and a faux pas already back in the early 2000s.

So, they did it. They "cured" Maqi's condition. He speaks, he smiles, he outwardly recognizes his ableist sanist father. Everyone is happy and we're all friends now, bitterness, grudges, revenge and wrongdoings forgotten. Cue happy end. NOT.

Great job, staff. Great job, Disney. Way to go on making people outside your idea of typical feel bad. Way to go on perpetuating stigma... Congratulations! And to think this was even republished in paperback format back in 2017. How has this gone unchallenged for so long?? Wow. I'm done
