The Rosie Project
by Graeme Simsion
This is a light but very entertaining read about the realities of a highly intelligent genetics professor with Aspergers Syndrome trying to find a life partner. His extremely analytical mind coupled with social awkwardness and a lack of empathy make for some interesting situations. While trying to find a wife via compatibility surveys he stumbles upon a woman trying to find her biological father, a task that turns into a project for the two of them, influencing his life in ways he could not have imagined.
This is my second try with this book, having dismissed it quite quickly the first time. This time around I listened to it as an audiobook and enjoyed it quite a bit, in fact so much that I downloaded the sequel right away.
