In this 4th installment in the series, Perez goes to Fair Isle with his fiancé to have a little vacation with his parents. During his stay, the warden of the birding center is killed and weather being a nightmare, Perez has to lead the investigation by himself until backup can come around. While investigating that first murder, a second one occurs an Perez with the help of Fran, his fiancé, and his team from the mainland will uncover a lot of the worst humans are capable of and, in a flash of frantic action, a third murder that will change Perez is committed and bring matters to an end.
